Happy Thursday! I have lots of beadies going up today on the 'Bay. I'm quite excited about them as they are a new direction for me and one that I love! For ~years~ I HATED trying to do scroll work and flowers. I never could really "get it". I suspect now that it has to do with the fct that I would only try one or two, get frustrated, and not do them again for months *rolleyes* A couple of weeks ago I just sat down at the torch and practiced them. After about 15 beads or so, it clicked. Now I want to scroll on everything in sight! I still have lots of frit beads, some raku and lentils, along with my new obsession. I hope you guys like them. Give me feedback, let me know what you think!

Next is sculptural stuff, wheee! Santas here I come ;) Now where's the snow??

Long Time No Post!

Hello my lovelies! Long pause between posts, which I intend to rectify in the future :)

Let's see... Dragon Con was wonderful, working on getting pictures up from that now. I'll post a link once I get them up. My first bellydance performance went well, but I need to have less belly, I decided, LOL! No pictures from that because it was at night outdoors and they had red filters on all of the lights! Not exactly the best environment for photos, *sigh*

I have another one coming up in two weeks, but after that, not another until January, I think. I was pleased to find out that we'll be doing the same set as my first performance. WHEW! We got an email with a lot of changes and two new series and I thought "oh shit! I have to learn this in two weeks?!?!? AHHHH!" But no. I accused Sherry of hazing at first, hee hee. Is this how you treat new members? ;)

Speaking of it almost being October, what's up with the weather? I wonder if Alabama is the only place it is still unseasonably warm? I'm ready for some crisp fall air! It had better be cooler for my birthday, that's all I have to say.

On the bead front, I have some new auctions up now and a few items in the new Ebay store. I will be adding more things as time goes on to the store and see how it goes. I've got a big shipment of glass coming in AND a lentil press! Yes, Candace is joining the ranks of the lentilophiles! Whee :) Look out world!

Now off to make more beads... what shall my theme be today? How about Halloween! La la la la la!

Sorry to have gone so long without posting, I'll be back on a more regular schedule now!  We went on vacation to Pennsylvania and then I was playing catch-up until this week.  Some good work over the weekend that I will probably have listed by Wednesday or Thursday.  Plus I managed to snag some of the Gaffer glass so expect some lovely wispy beads from me soon...

On a personal note, I've been asked to become an apprentice troupe member (aka padawan ;) ) for Gypsy Red Tribe!!! Only one month until Dragon Con, whoo!  Very exciting, I'm so looking forward to it.  This year I may even go to the drum circle and dance, heh!

Confirmed my reservation for Dragon Con. Sooo excited, less than 2 months to go! Wish I had a new costume, but that's probably not a fiscally responsible thing to do this year. I like the ones I have well enough. I can whip up a cloak for my Gryffindor outfit. Plus need a black pleated skirt, rather than the grey one. Too light.

Making good progress on the gallery pages. Might be sooner than next week!

Wow, it's hot outside! I went out to water my poor plants and in 5 minutes I was all "dewy"! Back into the air conditioning I go...

I'm having glorious allergies for some reason today, so I feel quite puny. Still working on my gallery pages whilst I do some housework, huzzah. I have my welcome page up so I think I am progressing nicely on the site. I am revamping my photo setup to hopefully improve my pictures. Back to work, more later :)

Well, Happy Day after the Fourth! First post here in my belisama blog. I had a most uneventful holiday. My highlight was meeting my friend Lacie's friend from FL. I did have a good time at lunch. A note to remember... when visiting a bar-b-que restaurant, do NOT order grilled fish. It was close to the foulest stuff I had ever laid my eyes on. They wrapped it in ~bacon~ for some unfathomable reason, ugh! At tasted decent, but not good. We had planned to go see fireworks, but Joel had a bad headache that loud noises would not have helped. So we stayed home. Today, pure laziness. Tomorrow, more work!

Working steadily on the website... The next good step would be to actually have some bead pictures, huh? =D GIve me a few days and they will start showing up.
